Mark and Tara LeederCambrian and Edgemont Locations

Mark and Tara are high school sweethearts who dreamed of running a family business and giving back to their community. After 20 years spent working in Sales and Social Work, a leap of faith and financial support from Tara’s late Mom, and pet lover, Sylvia brought the couple into the Global Pet Foods franchise. In December 2010, their dream came true when they proudly opened GPF Cambrian. Soon, Sylvia’s legacy grew into two stores in Calgary NW, with the opening of GPF Edgemont in August 2015. Today, with son Jonathan, Operations Manager, his fiancé Brittany, Certified Pet Nutritionist and help from daughter Brooke and store dog, Nash, Mark and Tara’s business has become a true family affair. This amazing team continues to leave a positive mark on the pet industry and their community. They’ve been awarded as Ambassadors of the Global Pet Food chain in 2016, and received 3 President’s Awards in recognition of the most funds raised for local rescues. Larry Leeder grew up in Red Deer and continues to call this community home alongside lovely wife, Rosanna, daughters Amanda and Jamie, and fur babies, Joannie and Oreo. Larry secured his first GPF franchise in Red Deer South in 2005 and the store continues to have a loyal customer base, some of which have been shopping with Larry for over 10 years.

Larry’s second store opened in Red Deer’s north end in August of 2006 — and the business flourished. Larry’s third store is a joint effort with sister Chris in Sylvan Lake. This unique location opened in 2014 and incorporates ideas from their shared experiences in the industry.

As a pet lover, the Global Pet Foods philosophy resonated with Larry. Every interaction in Larry’s stores are guided by three important principles, Eat, Play, and Love. He and his staff are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise to ensure customers have the healthiest and happiest pets possible. They are also committed to helping cats find loving forever homes. Both Red Deer GPF locations have cats in store for adoption.
